There are some wonderful galleries on Whidbey Island, including one cooperative that features a variety of work from local artists. I bought this Raku vase as well as two acrylic wood pieces I'll share in another post.

I have a Whidby Island memory! In 1973 when I was 8, we were in Vancouver with several other families attending an event. Afterwards, my best friend at the time, also 8, went over to Whidby Island for vacation...I think they had family there. I remember being incredibly envious and wanting to go with her sooooooooo much. It clearly wasn't going to happen. To this day, going to Whidby Island is a goal of mine.
